Techvaria is a Zoho Premium Partner working with Australian businesses on Zoho One, Zoho CRM, Zoho Creator and Zoho Books.

Zoho Implementation Partner in Australia

At a glance

Techvaria is a Zoho Premium Partner working with Australian businesses on Zoho One, Zoho CRM, Zoho Creator and Zoho Books. We work with operations, sales and finance owners at SMEs who want one connected system instead of a CRM, an accounting file and a stack of spreadsheets that do not talk to each other. Delivery is remote, from our offices in Bangalore, Ahmedabad and Dubai, with a named architect, written scope and calls in Australian afternoons.

We have been implementing Zoho since 2016, with 350+ implementations. We are also an Odoo implementation partner, so if Odoo suits you better we will say so.

Zoho One and Zoho CRM implementation

Most Australian clients start with one of two goals: a CRM their sales team will actually use, or Zoho One to run sales, service, finance and people on one platform. We set up either, in stages.

  • Zoho CRM: lead capture from your website and forms, pipelines by product or region, quoting, territory and role rules, and reporting your managers check weekly
  • Zoho One: CRM, Books, Desk, People and Creator configured together, with single sign-on and shared customer records
  • Data migration from spreadsheets, Salesforce, HubSpot, Pipedrive or a legacy database
  • Training by role, so sales, service and finance staff each learn their own screens

Our general approach is described on the Zoho implementation page.

Custom apps in Zoho Creator

Creator is our main practice. When a process does not fit CRM or Books, such as job and quote management, field inspections, stock and dispatch, approvals or compliance registers, we build it in Zoho Creator and connect it to the rest of your Zoho account. For app types and how we scope Creator work, see our Zoho Creator development services, or hire a Zoho Creator developer for ongoing work.

Industries we build for in Australia

Zoho is general-purpose software. What makes it fit an industry is the configuration and, where needed, a Creator app for the process standard modules do not cover. These are the Australian industries where that works well.

  • Construction and building trades: Zoho CRM for tenders and quotes, a Creator app for progress claims and variations, and Zoho Books for contractor bills. Businesses that pay contractors for building and construction services may need to lodge a TPAR with the ATO, due by 28 August each year, and Zoho Books Australia handles TPAR.
  • Wholesale and distribution: Zoho Inventory and Books for stock across warehouses, price lists by customer group and sales orders from reps in the field, with CRM for account management.
  • Professional services: CRM for the pipeline, Zoho Projects for timesheets and budgets, and Books for time-based or milestone invoicing.
  • Agriculture and agribusiness: Creator apps for grower records, intake and grower statements, with payments in Books. Under the Horticulture Code of Conduct, traders in horticultural produce need a written horticulture produce agreement in place before trading starts.
  • Allied health clinics and real estate: Zoho CRM for referrals, enquiries and marketing. Clinical records stay in your practice management system, and trust accounting stays in specialist trust accounting software, because each state and territory sets its own trust account rules.

Zoho Books Australia: GST, BAS, TPAR and Peppol

The Zoho Books Australia edition handles GST, BAS (monthly, quarterly or annual, on a cash or accrual basis), ABN details, TPAR and ABA bank files. We configure tax rates, the BAS basis and period, invoice templates with your ABN, bank feeds and ABA payment files, then test a sample BAS with your bookkeeper before go-live.

Peppol e-invoicing in Zoho Books Australia is in early access. It is enabled on request through Zoho support, uses Storecove as the access point, and needs ABN verification where your business name matches the ABR record. Receiving bills through Peppol needs the Professional plan or higher.

B2B e-invoicing is not mandatory in Australia. Commonwealth non-corporate entities have a target of receiving at least 30% of their invoices as e-invoices by 1 July 2026, so suppliers to those agencies may be asked to send e-invoices.

Payroll and Single Touch Payroll stay in your existing payroll provider. We integrate where needed, for example posting payroll journals into Books.

Moving from MYOB or Xero

Many Australian clients come to Zoho Books from MYOB or Xero. We move the chart of accounts, GST tax codes, contacts, open invoices and bills and opening balances, and plan the cut-over for the end of a BAS period so reporting stays clean. Our Zoho migration services page explains how we plan and check a data migration.

Data residency and the Privacy Act

Zoho has operated Australian data centres in Sydney and Melbourne, hosted with Equinix, since September 2019. Data in an Australian Zoho account stays in Australia. That helps with the Privacy Act question under Australian Privacy Principle 8, which covers cross-border disclosure of personal information.

Storage location is only part of the answer. When offshore staff access personal information, that access can still count as a disclosure, even if the data never leaves an Australian server. So we work under your access controls and a written agreement:

  • user accounts you create, can see in the audit log and can switch off at any time
  • role permissions that limit our team to the modules and records the work needs
  • a sandbox copy with test data for build work where your situation calls for it
  • a written agreement covering access, confidentiality and what happens to credentials at the end of the project

This is not legal advice. Your privacy officer or lawyer should confirm how APP 8 applies to your organisation; we will give them whatever detail they need about who accesses what.

Choosing a Zoho partner in Australia: onshore or remote

Some providers sell 100% onshore developers, and for some projects that is the right call. If you are comparing, these are the points we suggest you check with any partner, including us:

  • Data residency: is your Zoho account on the Australian data centre?
  • Access: who on the partner team can see your data, and is that documented?
  • Scope: is each stage fixed and written, with a change process?
  • Accountability: is there a named architect who stays from scoping to go-live?
  • Hours: when can you reach them? For us, it is Australian afternoons.

If your contract needs onshore personnel or on-site work, tell us early and we will be straight about whether we fit.

How delivery works

Techvaria delivers Australian projects remotely from our offices in Bangalore and Ahmedabad in India and Dubai, where we operate as Techvaria IT Services LLC. We do not have an office or staff in Australia.

  1. Scoping call, then a written scope and AUD quote.
  2. Design sign-off: modules, fields, workflows and integrations.
  3. Build in stages with weekly demos.
  4. Testing with your team, data migration and go-live.
  5. Support after go-live, with changes scoped as small requests.

India is 4.5 hours behind AEST and 5.5 hours behind AEDT, so Indian mornings and midday fall in Australian afternoons. Our working overlap with the east coast is roughly 1:00 pm to 5:30 pm AEST, or 2:00 pm to 5:30 pm AEDT during daylight saving. Western Australia gets a longer overlap, from late morning. Requests sent in your morning are logged and picked up when our day starts. We do not offer Australian-morning cover as standard; if you need an earlier call for a go-live or a month-end issue, we book it in advance.

Zoho implementation cost in Australia: scoping in AUD

Every engagement is quoted in AUD after a scoping call. We do not publish a price list because the cost depends on your process, not a package. The quote depends on the Zoho apps in scope, the number of users and roles, integrations, custom Creator work and the data to migrate. You receive a fixed AUD price per stage. Zoho licences are billed by Zoho separately.
