Where your Zoho or Odoo data is hosted
Zoho opened two data centres in Saudi Arabia, in Riyadh and Jeddah, in March 2024. Zoho assigns an account’s data centre from the country chosen at sign-up, so an account created for a Saudi business is normally placed there, while an older account created elsewhere may sit in another region. We confirm the region before go-live.
On Odoo’s own cloud, new Middle East customers have been hosted in Google’s data centre in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, since April 2024. Odoo can also run on Odoo.sh or on servers you choose, which needs Odoo’s Custom plan. Saudi Arabia’s Personal Data Protection Law also sets rules for transferring personal data outside the Kingdom, so if you hold customer or employee records, confirm the hosting choice with your legal adviser.
Arabic on invoices and in daily use
A standard tax invoice in Saudi Arabia must show its required details in Arabic; English can be added, but the Arabic text is the authoritative version. Zoho Books offers a compact bilingual invoice template for its Saudi edition, and Odoo can print Arabic or Arabic-English invoices from each customer’s language setting. Zoho CRM and Odoo can also be used in Arabic by staff who prefer it. We check every document type against ZATCA’s required fields before go-live.
SAR pricing, licences and project costs
Zoho Books Saudi Arabia plans are priced in SAR, and ZATCA Phase 2 e-invoicing is included from the Standard plan upward. Odoo is priced per user, per month, with its Custom plan needed for multi-company, Studio and the external API. Licence fees are separate from our implementation, migration, ZATCA onboarding and training fees, which we quote after a scoping session. Saudi VAT at 15% applies to both.
Payments and banking
Online payment links depend on the product. Check which gateways your Zoho Books edition lists before choosing a provider; in Odoo, Saudi gateways such as PayTabs or Telr are connected through third-party modules or custom work, which we check for your Odoo version. Bank statements can be imported into either system for reconciliation.
